Job summary

Kisimul Group in Swinderby, Lincolnshire, is seeking a Cook for our Children’s Residential Home at The Old Vicarage. The role offers 30 hours per week at £13.09 per hour, delivering nutritious, person-centred meals and maintaining high kitchen standards.

You will work as part of a friendly team, handle budgets and stock, keep accurate diaries and dietary records, and ensure food hygiene and safety. Previous catering experience and Basic Food Hygiene are required; flexible bank holidays pattern

Qualifications

• A respectful, courteous and compassionate nature.
• Experience in a pressurised and busy environment.
• Experience producing food for individuals with strict dietary requirements.
• Catering qualifications and a Basic Food Hygiene certificate.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a dedicated team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food to the highest standard per menus.
• Manage budgeting and stock rotation.
• Support tea time menu for evening care staff.
• Maintain food diary with fridge/freezer temperatures and records.
• Maintain records of pupils' daily dietary requirements.
• Keep kitchen areas clean and the cleaning schedule adhered to.
