Job summary

Active Care Group is seeking a Children's Care Worker at Buttons in Wiltshire (Swindon) to provide residential support for children with complex physical needs and learning disabilities. The role involves rota shifts including weekends, and contributes to care planning, daily activities and safeguarding in a multi-staff home.

You will be part of a trained team delivering high standards of care, with opportunities for training and progression as you work toward relevant qualifications.

Qualifications

• Strong organisational, time management and communication skills.
• Experience supporting children in care settings.
• Flexible, professional and positive approach to multi-site working.
• Reliability in attendance and timekeeping.

Responsibilities

• Assist and support staff in managing the home to ensure smooth operations.
• Help implement care plans and engage children in activities.
• Provide basic needs support and personal care as required.
• Attend staff meetings, supervision and training events.
• Coordinate with CYP with complex health care needs and administer emergency medication if needed.
