Children's Registered Manager - Complex Trauma

Salary up to £68,000 (including annual bonus)

Compass Associates are proud to be partnering with a well-respected provider of residential care for children and young people with complex emotional, behavioural, and developmental needs. This organisation is committed to creating safe and nurturing environments where each young person is supported to heal, grow, and thrive.

We are currently supporting them in the search for a dedicated and experienced Children's Registered Manager for their Ofsted-rated 'Good' residential home, located in Worthing. This service provides care for up to four young people aged between 7 and 17 who present with emotional and behavioural challenges due to backgrounds of complex trauma.

The Role

  • As the Registered Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading the day-to-day operations of the home, ensuring the highest standards of care and support are delivered
  • You'll bring leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate your team.
  • You will manage key operational functions including budgeting, rota planning, regulatory inspections, and overall service performance
  • This role requires a confident, proactive candidate with excellent communication skills and a clear understanding of the commercial and strategic aspects of residential childcare

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a position relevant to the residential care of children
  • At least 2 years of supervisory or management experience in a similar setting
  • NVQ Level 3 In Children and Young People's Workforce
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare
  • Achieved a Good' or Outstanding' grade within recent Ofsted Inspections
  • Registered Manager with Ofsted
  • Enhanced DBS
  • Knowledge of regulations and safeguarding
  • A strong understanding of health and social care frameworks, particularly Ofsted regulations and standards
