Job description

Brook Street Social Care are closely working with a children's car provider who are dedicated to providing a safe and nurturing home for children who have experienced difficult circumstances. Through their multi-agency approach, this service develop personalised care plans to help their children in care to heal and thrive.

We are recruiting for a Registered Manager to join the team in a brand new 2 bedded children's home within Liverpool.

As the Registered Manager, you will be expected to achieve and deliver high quality care to the children and young people residing within the home.

The Registered Manager is responsible for delivering care focused on obtaining the best outcomes for each child and young person within the home. You will be expected to demonstrate practical leadership, organise and support staff, and provide the best possible care for each child and young person. This involves being personally available, supervising and mentoring staff, organising rotas, facilitating care-focused training, and accessing appropriate services to support care practices within the home.


To be successful for this role you must:

  • Hold a minimum of 3 years experience within an Ofsted residential childcare setting
  • Have experience with staff supervision, management of budgets and staff rotas
  • Hold well-developed written and verbal communication
  • Ability to project manage
  • Have flexibility to work on-call duties shared with the Deputy Manager and Senior RSW
  • Hold a full UK driving license
  • Hold a Diploma in Social Work - Level 3 or 4 NVQ
  • Preferably hold a Level 5 in Leadership and Management or willing to work towards
