Intervention Worker – Children with Disabilities

Location: Tameside

Pay: £12.60 per hour PAYE (Umbrella option available)

Sanctuary Personnel are looking for a passionate Intervention Worker to join the Children with Disabilities service in Tameside. This role is focused on safeguarding and supporting children with additional needs, ensuring their voices are heard, and helping families access the right care and resources.

The Role

As an Intervention Worker, you will complete assessments, coordinate tailored support plans, and deliver direct work with children and their families. You’ll work closely with parents, carers, and multi-agency professionals to achieve the best possible outcomes for children.

Responsibilities
  • Complete early intervention assessments for children with disabilities or additional needs
  • Coordinate, monitor, and review service provision to meet identified needs
  • Carry out direct work with children and families using a range of communication approaches
  • Promote inclusion and respect for each child’s individual needs, culture, and background
  • Build positive relationships with parents and carers, supporting them to achieve better outcomes for their children
  • Work collaboratively with professionals across different services and agencies
  • Attend panels and meetings, producing clear, accurate reports
  • Keep thorough, up-to-date case records
  • Take part in supervision, training, and ongoing professional development
Requirements
  • GCSEs (A–C / 4–9) in English & Maths, or equivalent
  • Full UK driving licence
