Job summary

Hampshire County Council is seeking a Residential Care Worker to build positive, trauma-informed relationships with children, young people, families and professionals, and to provide high-quality physical, emotional and practical support in a safe and nurturing environment.

You will contribute to care plans, maintain accurate records and prepare reports for families and professional agencies, promote safeguarding through risk assessment, and work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team to

  • A Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or willingness to achieve with our support.
  • Understanding of child development and safeguarding.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

Job description

    A Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare, or the willingness to achieve this qualification with our support.

  • The ability to remain calm and adaptable in challenging situations.
