Are you an experienced leader ready to take on a new and rewarding challenge? We’re looking for a dynamic and compassionate Children's Home Manager to open and lead a new residential service in Salford, supporting children and young people with complex needs, Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD), and challenging behaviours.

The Role:
As the Registered Manager, you will be the driving force behind the success of this new home. You’ll be responsible for:

  1. Leading and managing the day-to-day operations of the home, ensuring the highest standards of care and compliance.
  2. Supporting a dedicated team with varying staff-to-child ratios (4:1, 3:1, 2:1) tailored to individual needs.
  3. Overseeing the creation and implementation of person-centred care plans.
  4. Creating a safe, therapeutic, and nurturing environment for all residents.
  5. Taking the lead on OFSTED readiness, safeguarding, and quality assurance.
  6. Managing staff rotas, development, training, and home budgets.

About You:
We’re looking for someone who is not only experienced but also passionate about making a lasting difference in young lives.
  1. Proven experience as a Registered Manager or a confident Deputy Manager ready to step up.
  2. NVQ Level 5 in Leadership for Residential Childcare (or actively working towards it).
  3. Strong leadership and team management skills.
  4. Experience working with young people who display complex needs and high-risk behaviours.
  5. Deep understanding of safeguarding practices and therapeutic approaches.
  6. Calm, resilient, and able to lead by example under pressure.

What We Offer:
  1. A competitive salary of up to GBP60,000 (depending on experience) + GBP5,000 sign-on bonus.
  2. The opportunity to lead a new service with full backing from an experienced senior leadership team.
  3. Real career development and progression in a forward-thinking organisation.
  4. The chance to make a genuine impact on the lives of vulnerable young people.
