NHS Ayrshire & Arran is seeking a Health Care Support Worker to support the Children’s Health services across South Ayrshire. The role involves working in home, clinic and school settings to promote child health and family wellbeing.

You will assist Health Visiting and School Nursing teams, engage with families from antenatal to early school years, and use Solihull and PEEP approaches to support development and outcomes. A UK driving licence is essential.

Competenze

Educational attainment at SPQ level 7/8 or working towards this.
Experience of working with children and families in the community.
Knowledge of health and social care services available for children and families.
Knowledge of the issues that can impact on the health and wellbeing of children and their families.
Ability to work on own initiative and unsupervised.
Good communication skills (verbal and written).
Good interpersonal skills
Ability to work as part of a team.
IT skills.

Mansioni

Provide enhanced support and contribute to the high-quality service by assisting the Health Visiting and School Nursing teams.
Promote health and wellbeing outcomes for children within the home and community environment.
Work closely with families across South Ayrshire from the antenatal period through a child’s early years and school years, using Solihull and PEEP approaches to support development and whole family support.
Deliver care in the home setting, clinic, school and community environments flexibly to meet needs of children and their families.
