Job Title: Children's Emergency Packages Support Worker

Vetro Social Care is recruiting Children's Residential Support Workers for Children's services in Neath and surrounding areas, with immediate starts. Join an experienced team to provide the best care for children.

Overview:
  • Pay: £13.68 - £27.36 per hour inclusive of holiday pay
  • Location: Neath and surrounding areas
  • Hours: Various shifts, including weekends and evenings
  • Benefits: Weekly pay, excellent rates, no payroll charges, support from a specialist consultant, free online training, subsidised practical training (TMVA, PMVA, PBM), agency worker of the month prize (£50), quarterly £500 Golden Ticket draw, 24-hour registration, holiday pay either weekly or in a holiday pot
The Role:

As a Children's Learning Disability Support Worker, you will:

  • Support children and young people in daily activities and interests
  • Promote independence and wellbeing
  • Participate in trips, holidays, and weekend activities, including outdoor adventures and outings to places like Butlins
  • Protect children from health and welfare risks
  • Provide emotional and practical support
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of care plans and safety guidelines
  • Help manage challenging behaviour and minimize incidents
Candidate Requirements:

To succeed, you should:

  • Have a genuine desire to improve outcomes for vulnerable children and young people
  • Be empathetic, caring, and resilient
  • Have at least 6 months experience in social care or working with children
  • Hold a valid UK Driving Licence
  • Possess a current, clear Enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one
  • Have the right to work in the UK
