Job description

Would you like to make a difference to the community you live in and love?

Our teams support families to live independently and improve their quality of life in the place they like to call home.

As a Lifetime Support Worker, you'll play a vital role in our service. You will work closely Community Children's Nurses to provide ongoing clinical care to children in their own home and/or at school.

This exciting role is flexible and dynamic around family life providing an excellent work/life balance and you will have access to training and development if you wish to pursue a career in nursing, training, or management.

Successful candidates will have the support from their team to be comfortable working independently in the community. If you have strong verbal communication skills and can use initiative to ensure children and their families have the best experience, then we want to hear from you.

We will offer a tailored training package to suit your development needs to make sure you feel fully supported within your new role - should you wish to progress further in your career then Sirona can offer a number of opportunities such as apprenticeships, where we have strong links with local higher education partners.

Our current vacancies are across Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire .

PLEASE NOTE: As we do not hold a certificate of sponsorship for these roles, we are unable to accept applications from non-UK residents for this vacancy.

The purpose of this role is to provide care to children with complex, life-limiting health care needs that rely on technology to sustain their health. Parents need to be able to rest, Lifetime support workers work within the family’s home, overnight taking over responsibility for the child whilst parents sleep.

As a member of the Lifetime service, you will support the registered nurses in the delivery of care to our service users in the community and contribute towards the safe and seamless delivery of holistic care, working safely within your scope of practice and competence at all times.

You will undertake clinical tasks to support each individual with personal care that will be set out in their care plans – every child has their own individual needs so you will gain experience caring for a wide variety of health conditions and specialised equipment.

Ever dreamt about a career that sparks excitement and fosters your professional growth?

Picture yourself waking up eager to make a real difference in our community, surrounded by teams who value your unique ideas. It's time to turn your dream into reality!

We are Sirona care & health – England’s largest provider of Adult’s and Children’s Community Services and we’d love for you to join us in Bristol, North Somerset or South Gloucestershire.

Agenda for Change Salary, full NHS benefits, 27+ days’ annual leave, and participation in the NHS Pension Scheme – just a glimpse of the benefits we offer.

Whether you're starting your journey in healthcare, looking for a fresh challenge within the NHS, or contemplating a career change, don't be daunted by the prospect of something different – we create development opportunities for all our colleagues and apprentices.
