Children's Community Staff Nurse

We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated band 5 paediatric nurse to join our Children's Community Nursing Team. The team provides nursing care to children and young people across County Durham and Darlington with a range of nursing needs. The service offers community care 7 days a week from 08:00 to 20:00, with two office bases in Darlington and Chester-le-Street. The successful candidate will be allocated a base but may need to work from either location to meet service needs.

Main duties of the job

You will deliver high standards of nursing care to children and their families in various community settings, including visits to family homes, schools, nurseries, and short-break provisions. You will work autonomously as a lone worker during visits under the guidance of the Children's Community Nursing Sisters. Training will be provided to equip you with the necessary skills, and you will be supported by the team. We seek someone passionate about providing outstanding community nursing care with excellent communication skills to meet diverse caseload needs. Initiative and flexibility are essential.
