Job description

We are seeking an enthusiastic, highly motivated, and flexible Paediatric Physiotherapist to join our Children's Integrated Therapy team, providing services to children in Greenwich aged 0-19 within our School Years Team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent time management, team collaboration, and interpersonal skills.

You will work with children with diverse needs across schools in Greenwich, clinics, educational settings, and homes as appropriate. In partnership with senior management, you will supervise and provide clinical support to the wider team of Band 6 physiotherapists and Band 4 therapy technicians.

The role requires creative thinking and teamwork. Candidates should have paediatric experience, particularly in MSK and neuromuscular conditions. You will collaborate with senior physiotherapists and multidisciplinary agencies across the borough to meet the needs of children and families as part of the Children's Integrated Therapy Service.

This position includes clinical lead responsibilities, such as providing specialist training to the team and assisting the Head Physiotherapist in identifying training needs for the service. You will also participate in and lead clinical and non-clinical Band 7 roles to support the wider paediatric physiotherapy service.

You will be part of the integrated therapy team, working closely with SLT and OT colleagues. The role involves independently managing a caseload of complex cases, providing detailed reports and programmes, and delivering highly specialist interventions. You will evaluate outcomes, advise on management and care, and educate parents, carers, and educational staff.

You will demonstrate expert assessment skills, particularly regarding specialist equipment, and liaise with the multidisciplinary team to facilitate effective case management. The role emphasizes evidence-based practice, outcome measurement, and service innovation, including audits and quality improvement projects.

Oxleas offers a wide range of NHS healthcare services in community and secure settings, including community health, mental health, and learning disability services.
