Our client Telford and Wrekin Council is looking for a Children's Advanced Practitioner to join their Social care team Team.
Hybrid working, there will be an expectation that there will be a mixture of office based and home working as agreed with the team manager
Duration: 3 months with potential extension
Manage a diverse caseload, undertaking timely assessments, care planning and interventions for children and families.
Respond to referrals and safeguarding concerns, assessing risk and making evidence-based decisions.
Undertake Child and Family Assessments, contributing to child protection processes and legal proceedings where required.
Build effective relationships with children, families and multi-agency partners to inform assessment and planning.
Apply legislation, policy and best practice to deliver high-quality, child-centred services.
Use professional judgement to identify appropriate interventions, review progress and adapt plans where necessary.
Undertake preventative work with families to reduce risk and improve outcomes for children.
Maintain accurate records and produce high-quality assessments, reports and court documentation.
Contribute to reflective practice, multi-agency working and continuous service improvement.
Qualified Social Worker/ Senior Social Worker with relevant professional registration and commitment to Continuous Professional Development (CPD).
Experience within a Duty and Assessment, Referral and Assessment, Front Door or Children's Safeguarding service.
Strong experience undertaking Child and Family Assessments, risk assessments and safeguarding investigations.
Ability to manage complex caseloads, exercise sound professional judgement and make confident decisions in high-pressure situations.
Please note: Strong Senior Social Workers with relevant experience will also be considered for this opportunity.
