Overview

Location: Nottingham  •  Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent  •  Hours: 39 per week (including rota/on-call duties)  •  Salary: Up to £55,800 (includes Ofsted & Occupancy bonuses)

Role

Children's Home Registered Manager for a brand new 4-bed home. You will be accountable for the overall running of the home, ensuring that the care provided meets Ofsted standards and organisational policies. You will lead, inspire and manage your team to deliver outstanding care tailored to the needs of each young person.

Key responsibilities
  • Delivering and developing high-quality childcare in line with legislation, Ofsted SCCIF and safeguarding requirements.
  • Leading, supervising and developing the staff team through recruitment, training, appraisals and ongoing support.
  • Managing rotas, budgets, expenses and ensuring all operational and administrative requirements are met.
  • Overseeing admissions and discharges to the home.
  • Acting as the key decision-maker, attending meetings, writing reports and liaising with external agencies and commissioners.
  • Taking part in on-call duties and occasional sleep-ins to support the running of the home.
About You
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care (or willingness to work towards).
  • Proven experience managing a team within a children's residential care setting.
  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding, child protection procedures and the needs of vulnerable young people.
  • Excellent leadership, organisational and communication skills.
  • The ability to maintain resilience while working with challenging behaviours.
  • A current UK driving licence and access to suitable transport.
  • Flexibility, reliability and commitment to high standards of care.
