Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality care and support to children and young people in a residential setting.
  • Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks.
  • Develop and implement individual care plans tailored to each child's needs.
  • Support children in their educational and social development.
  • Maintain a safe and secure environment, ensuring the well-being of all residents.
  • Build positive relationships with children, promoting their emotional and social development.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and external professionals.
  • Document and report on the progress and behaviour of children in care.
  • Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.


Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience working with children or young people, in a residential setting.
  • Relevant qualifications in childcare, social care, or a related field (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare ).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
  • Empathy and understanding of the challenges faced by children in care.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding policies and procedures.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Full UK driving licence is essential.
