Job summary

The Legal 500 Firm is seeking an experienced Children Panel Solicitor with around 3 years’ PQE+ to join its renowned Family Law department and support growth of a nationally recognised practice.

• 3+ years PQE in children/family law.
• Experience handling publicly and privately funded children matters.
• Advocacy experience on own cases.

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload of publicly and privately funded children and domestic abuse matters.
• Provide advocacy on your own cases and support colleagues with advocacy requirements.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of developments in family law and apply this knowledge effectively.
• Ensure compliance with firm policies, departmental procedures, and regulatory requirements, including Legal Aid Agency, Lexcel and professional standards.
• Contribute to growth and development of the team and wider business through marketing and networking initiatives.

The Children Panel Solicitor will demonstrate strong knowledge of:

• Managing a varied caseload of both publicly and privately funded children and domestic abuse matters, including Legal Aid work.
• Providing advocacy on your own cases as well as supporting colleagues with advocacy requirements where needed.
• Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of legal developments, particularly within your specialist area of practice, and applying this knowledge effectively.
• Ensuring compliance with firm policies, departmental procedures, and regulatory requirements, including Legal Aid Agency, Lexcel, and professional standards.
• Playing an active role in the continued growth and development of the team and wider business through marketing initiatives, including attending networking events, contributing articles, and engaging proactively on social media platforms.
