Job summary

Sellick Partnership is seeking an experienced Children Law Locum for a temporary position within a busy Children Department. You will advise and represent clients in private children law matters and domestic abuse cases, and conduct advocacy both in and out of court.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a Children or Family Law Department, strong advocacy and organisational skills, and knowledge of Legal Aid regulations.

Qualifications

• Qualified and experienced in Children Law.
• Experience in a Children or Family Law Department.
• Strong advocacy, communication and organisational skills.
• Knowledge of Legal Aid regulations and procedures.
• Resolution accreditation and/or Children Panel membership is essential.
• Experience with Proclaim is advantageous (training available).
• Full UK driving licence.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified legal professional with strong experience in private children matters, domestic abuse and advocacy to support a busy Children Department.

The Role

• Advising and representing clients in private children law matters and domestic abuse cases.
• Conducting advocacy both in and out of court.
• Managing files and maintaining accurate case records.
• Supporting other members of the Children Department as required.
• Building and maintaining strong professional relationships with clients and other legal professionals.

The Ideal Candidate

• Qualified and experienced in Children Law.
• Previous experience working within a Children or Family Law Department.
• Strong advocacy, communication and organisational skills.
• Knowledge of Legal Aid regulations and procedures.
• Resolution accreditation and/or Children Panel membership is essential to the brief.
• Experience using Proclaim would be advantageous, although training can be provided.
• Full UK driving licence.
