About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our developing Children and Young People’s (CYP) Emergency and Urgent Care provision. As part of the NHS 5 Year Forward View, CWP is developing crisis response services for CYP.

We are recruiting enthusiastic and motivated clinicians to join CWP’s newly formed CYP Urgent Support Team. These team members will be part of a skilled, multidisciplinary team and will have opportunities to develop their skills through induction, internal training, Continuing Professional Development (CPD), and supervision.

The service operates 24/7 to provide crisis mental health assessment and interventions for CYP in various settings. Currently, it operates from 8 am to 10:30 pm but will transition to a 24-hour service in the future. Shifts are 11.5 hours long.

The service is based in Macclesfield but covers the entire CWP footprint.

Responsibilities
  • Offering crisis intervention and assessment to children, young people, families, and the children’s workforce in various settings.
  • Supporting the development of skills and confidence for future Mental Health Practitioner roles within the Urgent and Emergency Care provision.
Additional Information

The service operates on a 24/7 basis with staff working 11.5-hour shifts. The role is based in Macclesfield.
