Children and Young People's Volunteer - Cannock

Role Overview

Our Independent Visiting service is seeking volunteers in or near Cannock to support children and young people in care.

Volunteer Requirements
  1. Passion for helping young people
  2. Availability of 2 to 4 hours once a month
  3. Willingness to make a long-term, regular commitment

About the Role

As an Independent Visitor, you'll have the opportunity to engage in activities such as going to the cinema, bowling, playing sports, dining out, cycling, or walking in the park. We aim to match you with a young person sharing your interests.

No prior experience working with children is necessary; we provide full training and support.

  • Amy (12): Interested in sports and active outings.
  • Brad (13): Likes outings and having fun.
  • Cassie (16): Wants to build confidence and explore her new area.
  • Danny (11): Enjoys parks, planes, and animals.

Application Details
  • Most volunteering occurs on weekends and after school.
  • A commitment of at least 24 months with one visit per month is required.
