Job Description:

Salary: Marie Curie Pay Scale, aligned with AFC Band 6 – £35,392 - £42,618 per annum (pro rata)

Hours/Contract: Permanent – Part Time – 30 hours per week (weekdays)

Based: Newcastle Hospice

As a post holder, you will provide a flexible counselling service to children and young people facing grief and loss and offer support and advice to patients and carers to enable them to support children and young people in their families. You will work alongside the Bereavement Coordinator to coordinate the Hospice’s Bereavement Service.

What we are looking for:

  • Degree/Diploma in Child Counselling
  • Member of BACP
  • Experience in counselling or equivalent
  • Palliative care experience is advantageous
  • Excellent organisational skills
