A health services organization is seeking a Named Nurse for Safeguarding Children and Adults. This role requires excellent leadership and knowledge of safeguarding practices. The Named Nurse will collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure the welfare of children and adults at risk of harm. Ideal candidates should have strong expertise in children’s health and safeguarding systems.
The States of Guernsey are looking for a Children and Adult Safeguarding Named Nurse to join the team at The Office of The Committee for Health and Social Care.
HSC provides a wide range of services including acute, mental health, community services, learning disability and social care and the Named Nurse for Safeguarding Children and Adults will be required to have excellent leadership skills and the ability to promote good professional safeguarding practice by providing advice and supervision to staff. The Named Nurse will have in-depth knowledge of children’s health and development. The Named Nurse will also have in-depth knowledge of the systems and processes that needs to be in place for the safeguarding and promotion of the welfare of children and adults at risk of harm. The Named Nurse will be required to work closely with the multi-disciplinary team both within HSC and partner organizations including the Medical Specialist Group, GPs and GP Practices, Police, St. John Ambulance Service, nursing and care homes.
