We are looking for a team manager to join the North duty and assessment service.

Duration: ASAP – 3 months

Key Role Descriptors:

The role holder will be responsible for the safe delivery of care or people support functions, ensuring the discharge of statutory responsibilities and providing a high quality standard of service that promotes the wellbeing of individuals and groups within the community.

They will effectively lead, manage, and motivate a team of professional practitioners to develop a skilled and confident workforce that meets the needs of the service and Manchester residents.

The role involves working in collaboration with partners and key stakeholders to develop effective partnerships and coordinated working with other services and organizations to contribute positively to care and support development and delivery in the city.

Key Role Accountabilities:
  • Provide strong management direction and motivate team members through effective performance management and coordination to ensure continuous improvement and meet service priorities.
  • Offer professional consultation, support, and guidance to team members and colleagues for decision-making and case management.
  • Manage safeguarding risk and quality assurance within an agreed framework, policies, procedures, and statutory responsibilities in a multi-professional environment.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to gather data and identify care needs and priorities to develop sustainable, customer-focused services and plans.
  • Identify and support the implementation of changes and improvements to enhance care and support outcomes for Manchester residents.
  • Monitor budgets in accordance with City Council policies to achieve financial targets and forecast resource needs.

Roles at this level may involve managing a range of resources, either through direct line management or matrix management of a virtual team of officers.

The role requires coordinating resources to support 'joined-up' communication and ensure efficiencies.

Demonstrate personal commitment to continuous self-development and service improvement.

Promote diversity positively through personal example, ensuring equal access and treatment in employment, service delivery, and communications.
