Children’s Services in Tameside are on an improvement journey and are looking for a committed and enthusiastic Team Manager to join us in one of our Duty and Assessment Teams.
This is an exciting time to join Tameside, and you will be part of a service that is highly committed, welcoming, and supportive. We are continuing to transform our approach to how we deliver services to support children and families, having adopted a trauma informed strength and relationship based approach as our practice framework.
As a Team Manager, you will offer a high level of support and challenge to your social workers and inspire your teams to do their very best for Tameside children.
You will be responsible for a team providing assessment, planning, and intervention services to children in need of a statutory assessment.
With fantastic leadership skills and attributes, you will ensure your team members are well supported and equipped to succeed.

About you:
We expect you to have extensive frontline experience as well as a solid track record of managing and developing a team. Building positive relationships is important not just with the children, young people, and families we work with but also with colleagues and external partner agencies.
We are looking for a social work professional with considerable experience of working with children and their families in a statutory social care environment, specifically managing and supporting social workers and ASYEs, and a wealth of experience supervising complex caseloads on a busy team.
