Qualifications

Children’s Support Worker

Liverpool

£425-£475 per week depending on experience

About the role:

Connex Education are working with various SEND Schools in Liverpool who are seeking support workers who are interested in working in SEND Schools as a SEND TA for the new academic year in September.

About the School:

The schools we work with cater for pupils aged between 2 and 19 with a range of needs including Autism, SEMH, SLD and PMLD. The role of a SEND TA will include supporting pupils both academically and emotionally as well as promoting life skills. You will work as a team with the class teacher and other TA’s to help create an engaging learning environment.

Assignment details:

We are working on both full and part time roles , some of which are temp to perm. The hours are usually Monday-Friday 8.30am until 3.30pm.

Person specification:

  • Experience of supporting pupils with SEND either in a School or residential setting as a support worker.
  • Be willing to provide personal care.
  • Confident in dealing with challenging behaviour
  • The ability to build relationships with staff and pupils.
  • Able to provide a DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for a new one.
