Children’s Social Worker
Team: Duty Team
Location: Wigan
Rate: £38.00ph
Reference: 983D9/1

We are looking for an experienced Social Worker, committed to achieving positive change for children and families and supporting your colleagues to learn, develop, and deliver consistently good Social Work practice.

You will be a qualified Social Worker with significant experience in Social Work practice within the field of Social Work with children and families, using a strengths-based practice model, and a proven track record of success.

The nature of the work within the Duty Service can be described as fast-paced. As a senior practitioner within the team on duty, you will work on one of the 5 Duty Teams, going on duty every 5 weeks. The Duty Teams in Wigan handle a varying complexity of cases, with case transfer points including the initial child protection case conference, the first CLA review, the first PLO meeting, and the 3rd CIN meeting.

We work to a hybrid model, meaning we can be flexible regarding when you come into the office.

Minimum Requirements:
Candidates MUST have front door/duty experience – it is essential that the successful candidate can hit the ground running.
