Job description

Children’s Social Worker
Team: Safeguarding
Location: Blackburn
Rate: £39

Blackburn with Darwen Children’s Services require a full-time agency Social Worker to cover in its Safeguarding Service.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload effectively and independently.
  • Conduct assessments and provide support in safeguarding cases.
  • Work collaboratively within a team and multi-agency setups.
  • Utilize Protocol Liquid Logic for case management (experience preferred but not essential).
  • Flexibly adapt to both homeworking and office-based working arrangements.

Minimum Requirements:

  • DIPSW or equivalent qualification in Social Work.
  • Social Work England registration.
  • Enhanced and in-date DBS certificate.
  • Excellent communication skills and decision-making abilities.
  • Knowledge of service needs and competent IT skills.
  • Ability to write clear, concise, and robust assessments/reports.
  • Flexible approach to work and working hours.
