Waking Nights Support Worker - Residential Children’s Home (Learning Disabilities)


Location: Ashbourne


Salary: Up to £27,500

Contract: Full-time, Permanent

Do you want to support children with learning disabilities to live happy, fulfilled lives?

We’re recruiting on behalf of a warm and supportive Residential Children’s Home in Ashbourne, seeking a dedicated Waking Nights Support Worker to join their close-knit team. You’ll play a vital role in ensuring the safety, comfort, and emotional well-being of the children during night hours.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Providing overnight care, ensuring safety and emotional well-being

Supporting children with personal care needs in a respectful and dignified way

Encouraging independence and involvement in daily routines

Creating a nurturing environment and building positive relationships

Working closely with other professionals, families, and your team

Keeping accurate records and promoting safeguarding at all times

What We’re Looking For:

Experience in care (especially with children or learning disabilities) is desirable

Level 4 Diploma in Health and Social Care (Children and Young People) is a bonus

Patient, empathetic, and calm under pressure

Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Full UK driving licence with business insurance required

Flexible to work waking night shifts, weekends & holidays
