Childcare Support Worker - Qualification Essential

East Midlands / Temporary / £13.69 - £16.00 per hour

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a children’s residential provider in Ilkeston to recruit a Residential Support Worker / RSW. This therapeutic provision houses 5 children and young people aged 7 – 11, diagnosed with EBD (Emotional Behavioural Difficulties), SEMH (Social Emotional Mental Health), or complex trauma needs.

We seek a Residential Support Worker / RSW to work full-time on a 2 on 4 off shift pattern. Our ethos is child-focused, emphasizing safety, security, consistency, and respect for children's wishes.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience with therapeutic models such as P.A.C.E
  • Level 3 Children and Young People's Workforce qualification or willingness to attain it
  • Experience supporting young people with challenging behaviours or trauma
  • Flexibility with shifts
