Job summary

Synergy Personnel Services is seeking an experienced childcare solicitor for a well-established Northampton law firm. The role involves managing a varied caseload in family and childcare matters, representing parents and relatives in care proceedings and other orders.

You must be Law Society Children Panel accredited and comfortable handling your own caseload with high client care standards. Based in Northampton, the position offers a competitive salary of £55,000–£60,000 with excellent

  • Handle Care proceedings, Emergency protection matters, Special Guardianship Orders, child arrangement issues, PLO matters, and advocacy where appropriate.

A well-established and highly respected regional law firm is looking to appoint an experienced Childcare Solicitor to join its growing Family & Childcare team in Northampton. This is an excellent opportunity for a Children Panel Accredited Solicitor seeking high-quality work, long-term career progression, and the chance to join a supportive and collaborative firm with an outstanding reputation across the region.

The Opportunity

You will manage a varied caseload of public childcare matters, representing parents, grandparents, and other family members in sensitive and complex proceedings.

The role will include:

  • Care proceedings
  • Emergency protection matters
  • Special Guardianship Orders
  • Child arrangement issues
  • PLO matters
  • Advocacy where appropriate
  • Working closely with local authorities and external agencies

The successful candidate must be a member of the Law Society Children Panel and will be confident handling their own caseload independently while delivering exceptional client care. This position would suit a compassionate and technically strong solicitor who enjoys working within a team-focused environment and is committed to supporting vulnerable clients through difficult circumstances.
