Discovery Day Nursery is looking to welcome a passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our wonderful team of highly qualified and dedicated staff.

The candidate must enjoy singing songs, getting messy, going outdoors, and have great knowledge of OFSTED guidelines (Statutory and Non-Statutory frameworks) to ensure a high standard of care for every child.

General responsibilities:

To effectively steer the delivery of high-quality education for all children in our care.
To be an excellent role model for children and staff members.
To help plan and implement activities suitable for the age range of children attending the nursery, ensuring the Early Years Foundation Stage framework is applied.
To carry out observations, assess children’s learning, and complete children’s Learning Journeys and written reports.
To ensure that play meets the needs of every child, considering their race, culture, age, and ability.
To actively assist in all aspects of childcare and welfare of the children in the nursery.
To implement the daily nursery routine, leading by example.
To comply with all nursery policies including Security, Fire, Health and Safety, Safeguarding Children, Sick Children, Medicine, Discipline, and any policies required by OFSTED.
