Discovery Day Nursery is looking to welcome a passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our wonderful team of highly qualified and dedicated staff.

The candidate must enjoy singing songs, getting messy, going outdoors, and have great knowledge of OFSTED guidelines (Statutory and Non-Statutory frameworks) to ensure a high standard of care for every child.

General responsibilities:

To effectively steer the delivery of high-quality education for all children in our care
To be an excellent role model for children and staff members
To help plan and implement age-appropriate activities, ensuring the Early Years Foundation Stage framework is applied
To carry out observations, assess children’s learning, and complete Learning Journeys and written reports
To ensure play meets the needs of every child, considering their race, culture, age, and ability
To actively assist in all aspects of childcare and welfare of the children
To implement the daily nursery routine, leading by example
To comply with all nursery policies, including Security, Fire, Health and Safety, Safeguarding Children, Sick Children, Medicine, Discipline, and other policies required by OFSTED
