Job Overview

Recruiting qualified & non-qualified legal professionals across the Midlands, Wales, South West, and East Anglia.

Service Care Solutions is working alongside a thriving local authority based in Reading, seeking a childcare paralegal to join their legal team.

Candidates without UK Childcare legal experience will NOT be considered.

CONTRACT LENGTH: Three-month rolling contract

LOCATION: Reading - hybrid (office attendance once per week).

Key Responsibilities of the Childcare Paralegal Role:

• Support solicitors with care proceedings, including drafting applications such as C110A, C2 applications, consent forms, letters of instruction, briefs to counsel, liaising with social workers, experts, and other parties.
• Attend advocates' meetings and pre-hearing discussions.
• Handle private matters related to adoption, S.7, and S.37, with direct contact with social workers and courts regarding cases.
