Job summary

A community organization in Belfast is seeking a dedicated Afterschool Manager to oversee the delivery of their Afterschool Project. The successful candidate will ensure a high-quality environment for children while managing program operations and finances. Candidates should have a Level 5 qualification in CCLD or be training towards it, along with at least two years of experience managing afterschool programs. The position offers £15.00 per hour on a permanent contract with 16 weekly hours.

Qualifications

  • Must be in training to achieve Level 5 qualification in CCLD.
  • Minimum two years of experience managing afterschool programs.
  • Access to a car is required.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the Afterschool project in line with operational systems.
  • Maintain appropriate records for data collection and monitoring.
  • Act as Designated Officer within Children’s Services.
  • Manage and maintain finances including billing.

Job description

The Afterschool Manger will be based at The Castle Community Trust Community Centre and be responsible for overseeing and organising the delivery of the Afterschool Project. The Afterschool Manager is responsible for the day to day running of the programme and ensuring that there is high quality, safe, caring and welcoming environment for children and their families.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the Afterschool project in line with existing operational systems, structures and procedures in accordance with guidelines and directions issued by BHSCT Childcare minimum standards.
  • Maintain appropriate professional, administrative and computerised records to ensure that data and monitoring is collected in line with Castle Community Trust procedure.
  • To act as Designated Officer within Children’s Services, reporting directly to Mariners Senior Designated, Gateway Team or and The Castle Community Trust Board Safeguarding officer.
  • Manage and maintain Mariners' finances, including billing and the invoice system.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Aspiring to achieve and in training to maintain a minimum of a Level 5 qualification in CCLD or equivalent or working towards the above qualifications.
  • Two years’ experience in managing Afterschool and working with Primary school-aged children.
  • Full driving licence and access to a car.
