Job Description
You’ll work closely with experienced early years professionals at our Finkley Weeke Nursery, gaining hands-on skills in childcare, child development, and safeguarding.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Ensure the completion of your apprenticeship with support from your mentor as needed.
- Develop and maintain an educational play framework aligned with the EYFS, supporting children to be safe and have fun.
- Observe and support children’s learning.
- Take responsibility for assigned 'key children' within pre-agreed timescales.
- Build and maintain professional relationships with team members, advisory teachers, and visiting agencies.
- Use initiative to develop and improve both the children’s experiences and the setting.
- Follow nursery procedures and policies.
- Be flexible in working practices, including domestic duties like snack preparation and cleaning.
- Participate in out-of-hours activities such as training, staff meetings, fundraising, and social events.
- Identify opportunities to utilize your skills and contribute to the nursery’s development post-apprenticeship.
- Maintain confidentiality at all times.
