Job Title: Early Years Apprentice

At Happy Haven Day Nursery, you will support the development and well-being of children by assisting with daily activities, creating a safe environment, and helping plan learning experiences that promote growth.

Responsibilities:
  1. Assist in planning and delivering engaging learning activities.
  2. Support children with personal care (feeding, toileting, dressing).
  3. Observe and record children’s progress, sharing findings with senior staff.
  4. Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment.
  5. Follow safeguarding policies and report concerns.
  6. Encourage positive social and emotional development.
  7. Support daily routines and tidying up after activities.
  8. Participate in staff meetings and training.
  9. Help prepare and maintain resources and equipment.
  10. Communicate with parents about children’s progress.
  11. Adhere to nursery policies, health and safety, and safeguarding regulations.
  12. Uphold the nursery’s attachment-based philosophy, fostering emotional well-being.
  13. Work in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and British Values.
  14. Create inclusive learning opportunities tailored to individual needs.

Training & Prospects:
