Childcare Apprenticeship - Level 3 - Little Gardners Nursery

Shoots Training are seeking a motivated, reliable and enthusiastic individual as an apprentice to complete their Level 3 Childcare qualification with Little Gardners Nursery.

Little Gardners Nursery is situated in a beautiful environment with a natural area and plenty of open spaces. Our Natural Garden allows our children to explore their surroundings and gain a better understanding of the world around them.

Our nursery is located on the grounds of Marchwood Junior School and plays a big part in the local community

Little gardeners nursery is a purpose-built nursery which opened in 2013. We are dedicated to the delivering the early years foundation stage whilst also incorporating the forest school ethos last. We are able to immerse the children in learning nature in our very own forest school area which we call our nature garden where they're able to explore the natural world around them in all weathers, and we encourage the children to further their investigation and support them on the learning journey. Alongside our nature ethos we the children to follow our golden rules and nurture each other.

At Little Gardners Nursery we have lots of facilities indoors and out for children to have endless hours of learning through play. We have creative play with mark making activities using chalks, paints and other mark making resources. Both rooms have role play areas- which change dependent on the childrens interests. We have curiosity areas, construction areas and quiet areas, so children always have a choice in what they play with.

Your Duties And Responsibilities Will Include

• Be responsible for planning and implementing the days activities
• Undertaking all aspects of personal care
• Involved in food preparation and feeding times
• General housekeeping duties
• Using family platform to update with the childrens progress
• Responsible for key children
• Baby room responsible for 2
• And will be responsible for around 12 children in the over 2s room
  
  

Requirements;

• A Level 2 childcare qualification is required
• You must be able to gain a clear DBS
• GCSE's A*-C in English Language and Maths, or equivalent i.e functional skills are desirable.
  
  

Hours;

• The successful candidate will be required to work a minimum of 30 hours per week, with shift patterns to be discussed
