Job summary

Sunbeams Day Nursery is offering childcare apprenticeships to help support children and their development in a positive setting. The role involves teamwork, observing and communicating with children, and becoming a key worker for a group of children.

The program starts with a Level 2 Early Years Practitioner apprenticeship, with a clear path to Level 3. Training provider SKILLS TO GROUP LIMITED delivers the programme, and the Working Week is Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 6:00pm, with the duration

Job description

Introduction

Sunbeams Day Nursery are looking to take on one or two learners for their childcare apprenticeships to help work with the children in the setting to further their development and ensure the nursery continues to provide a positive and enriching environment for the children in attendance.

What You'll Do

• You will be expected to work within the team to ensure the smooth day-to-day organisation and safety of all children


• The successful apprentice must have excellent observation and communication skills and will play an active part in the development of the children in their care


• You will also be a key worker to a group of children where you will play a big part in their development and overall learning journey.


• You will help children to understand and demonstrate good health, hygiene and personal habits during meal times, rest periods and bathroom use, and model excellence whilst you assist in serving snacks and refreshments to children


• You must also be a great team player and have excellent standards of personal hygiene and appearance, be reliable and model positive behaviour at all times

Training Outcome

• On completion of your Level 2 qualification, you will have the opportunity to progress onto the Level 3 apprenticeship


• The employer is very committed to staff development and training, and to assist the successful apprentice to progress through all their training, with a view to future employment
