West Dunbartonshire has developed a new team approach to public protection which is part of a programme of work where learning and development of staff and public protection remains our key priority.
In May last year saw the appointment of a new Independent Chair for both Adult and Child Protection Committees and this year we have introduced two new learning and development roles who will work as part of a team alongside Adult and Child Protection Lead Officers. The team will report through Chief Social Work Officer oversight and work closely with Committees and adult and children's social work services and partner agencies. We are seeking highly driven and enthusiastic individuals who understand the value of collaboration to ensure children and adults are protected from harm, underpinned by trauma informed practice and service user voice.
For an informal discussion about these roles please contact Sharon Laing, Senior Manager via email: sharon.laing@west-dunbarton.gov.uk
