Job summary

Rotherham Doncaster & South Humber NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an Engagement and Participation Worker to support children, young people and families across the Children’s Care Group. You will help collect and present patient feedback to inform service development, enable local patient and carer involvement, and collaborate with the Equality, Diversity and Participation Team.

Responsibilities

• Support involvement of children/young people and families/carers in services by the Children’s Care group in line with the Trust’s engagement strategy.
• Consolidate and develop information from patient feedback to help management improve patient- and carer-informed services.
• Engage with local service users and carer groups across three geographical areas.
• Collaborate with the existing Engagement and Participation Worker and other team members.
• Work with the Equality, Diversity and Participation Team and across Integrated Care Systems to provide patient and public engagement opportunities.
• Support delivery and work with the Children’s Care Group and Trust Patient and Public Engagement and Experience Strategy.
• Work with the Children’s Care group transformation team on engagement and experience opportunities.
• Establish links with patients and the public across localities with individual services.
• Plan and coordinate meetings, events, focus groups and other collaborative activities with patients, carers, the public and staff, considering reasonable adjustments for disabilities.
• Recommend policy/service changes based on feedback from patient, carer and public events.
• Monitor patient-related outcomes using accepted measures and feed back to children/young people and families/carers.
• facilitate improvements in feedback levels across the service using processes such as Care Opinion under management guidance.
