Job description

Child Exploitation Missing Intelligence Officer – Children Services – Croydon Council

Salary: Grade 8 £37,443 - £39,264

Secondment only until March 2025 – 36 hours per week

Hybrid working

Job Purpose

The role involves supporting the Senior Intelligence Analyst and Assistant Analyst in collecting, reporting, and analyzing data related to missing children and those at risk of child exploitation, including sexual, criminal, and trafficking cases. The successful candidate will liaise with internal and external contacts to update records on missing children and monitor partner agency data weekly, tracking referrals, intelligence reports, and information requests to identify exploitation patterns.

About You
  • Experienced and qualified professional with knowledge of child exploitation issues.
  • Understanding of relevant legislation, including GDPR.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and handling complex datasets.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for diverse audiences.
  • Ability to investigate data quality issues and implement solutions.
  • Accurate, reliable, and attentive to data validity and consistency.
  • Resilient and tenacious in problem-solving.
  • Organized, methodical, and able to work under pressure.
  • Experience handling sensitive data with knowledge of GDPR and related legislation.
