Job summary

Milk Education is seeking a Child Development Support Assistant to work in welcoming Primary Schools across Hebburn from September. You will support children with learning, social and emotional development, providing one-to-one and small group assistance.

You will join a supportive team, promote positive behaviour, build relationships with pupils and families, and contribute to pupil progress. A Level 2 TA qualification and experience in a primary setting are essential, with DBS Update Service

Qualifications

• Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or above (essential).
• Experience working within a Primary School setting.
• Understanding of SEND, Autism, ADHD, SEMH or behavioural needs is desirable.
• A genuine passion for supporting child development and wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Support children with learning, communication and developmental needs.
• Provide one-to-one and small group support to help pupils access learning.
• Promote positive behaviour, emotional regulation and social development.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and families.
• Support children with SEND, including Autism, ADHD, Speech and Language needs and SEMH.

We’re currently recruiting for a Child Development Support Assistant to work within welcoming and supportive Primary Schools across Hebburn, starting in September.

This rewarding role is perfect for qualified Teaching Assistants who are passionate about supporting children with their academic, social and emotional development. You will play a key role in helping pupils thrive both inside and outside the classroom.

Your Main Responsibilities

• Support children with a range of learning, communication and developmental needs.
• Provide one-to-one and small group support to help pupils access learning.
• Promote positive behaviour, emotional regulation and social development.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and families.
• Support children with SEND, including Autism, ADHD, Speech and Language needs and SEMH.

• A patient, resilient and nurturing approach.
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
• Additional qualifications in Education, Childcare or Child Development are advantageous.

This role is paid within the advertised pay scale. Your starting rate will be determined by your qualifications, relevant experience and the requirements of the assignment.
