• Create a safe, warm play environment for children visiting family in prison.

• Support children to feel settled during visits and reduce anxiety.
• Facilitate positive interactions to strengthen family relationships.
• Ensure activities are inclusive and responsive to individual needs.
• Offer child-centred support before, during and after visits.
• Observe wellbeing and seek help when needed; work with the Connections Team.
• Maintain professional boundaries and safeguarding procedures.
