Job summary

Clear Legal & Financial Recruitment is seeking an experienced Child Care Solicitor to join the Family, Care & Divorce team in Derby, Derbyshire. You will handle a varied caseload, acting for privately paying and publicly funded clients and representing clients in court.

The role requires independence, excellent client care, and compliance with SRA rules. The firm offers CPD support, strong leadership, and clear career progression.

Qualifications

• Qualified Solicitor with proven experience in Family Care Law.
• Member of the Law Society Children Panel.
• Strong advocacy and communication skills.
• Ability to manage care proceedings independently.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of care proceedings with supervision as needed.
• Advise and support clients through care proceedings.
• Represent clients in court and at key meetings.
• Progress matters and keep clients informed on progress and costs.
• Maintain time recording, billing and compliance with SRA requirements.
• Support development of junior colleagues.

My client is recruiting for an experienced Child Care Solicitor to join their Family, Care & Divorce team in Derby, Derbyshire.This is an opportunity to join a growing and supportive family department, handling a varied caseload of care proceedings for both privately paying and publicly funded clients.
