Job summary

Tees Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a Band 6 CAMHS Eating Disorder Clinician to support children, young people and families across North Yorkshire and York. The role involves assessment, care coordination, physical health monitoring and delivering evidence-based interventions within a specialist Eating Disorder Service.

Qualifications

• Must hold current professional registration with the appropriate governing body in healthcare or social work.
• Evidence of continuing professional development (CPD).
• Minimum 18 months post-qualification experience at application.
• Postgraduate qualification in CAMHS or relevant area within agreed timescale.
• Sign-off mentor or equivalent as applicable.
• Certificate in teaching & assessing in clinical practice as appropriate to own profession.
• Recognised qualification in a model of therapy (e.g., family therapy, CBT).
• Disclosures and safeguarding checks as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide eating disorder services and treatment to children and their families across North Yorkshire and York.
• Work within a multi-disciplinary team and take lead professional / care-coordinator responsibilities.
• Provide input to individuals, families and carers in a clinic setting and offer supervision/mentorship to students and junior staff.
• Support service development using quality improvement methods and contribute to home treatment pathways.
