A leading NHS organization in Wales seeks a Chief Experience and Information Officer (CxIO) to lead the digital transformation in healthcare. The role requires strong clinical leadership and expertise in developing digital solutions that enhance patient care. The CxIO will represent the organization nationally, champion innovation among healthcare professionals, and contribute to the future of healthcare service delivery. Candidates who can speak Welsh are preferred, though proficiency in English is mandatory. Extensive training and an attractive benefits package are offered to support professional growth.
The CxIO is the translator and main point of contact for nursing, other healthcare professionals, management and Health digital professionals. The post holder will lead on clinical digital work on the selection, development and deployment of digital solutions to ensure the effective and safe integration of technology into clinical practice.
The CxIO will represent the Health Board at national level and will advise on national policies and strategies ensuring that the professional nursing / Allied Health Professional / Healthcare Scientist / strategies and Digital Strategy converge to form a coherent whole.
The CxIO will be recognised as a national expert, leading future Health digital development and presenting at national and international level.
The post holder will provide visible clinical leadership to all healthcare professionals at all levels of the organisation that are responsible for the implementation of digital solutions. They will champion and promote innovation and stimulate a positive culture in the development of clinical digital roles across the Health Board and at a national level.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
