Job description

Position Overview:

Our client, a dynamic and rapidly evolving $3B+ enterprise headquartered in the Houston, TX area, is seeking a Chief Transformation Officer (CTO) to lead and accelerate enterprise-wide transformation initiatives—with a critical emphasis on AI integration, digital enablement, and operational excellence.

This role is ideal for a forward-thinking executive who has successfully navigated digital, cultural, and strategic transformation in a large-scale organization. The CTO will work directly with the CEO and executive leadership to reshape business models, modernize operations, and enable innovation across all divisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the strategic design and execution of the company’s enterprise transformation roadmap, focused on growth, scalability, and digital reinvention.
  • Champion and oversee the implementation of AI-driven technologies across operations, supply chain, customer experience, and product development.
  • Establish and manage the Transformation Management Office (TMO) to ensure alignment, prioritization, and delivery of key transformation initiatives.
  • Identify and remove operational inefficiencies and legacy processes through data, automation, and change leadership.
  • Serve as a change agent—building strong cross-functional partnerships and fostering an adaptive, agile corporate culture.
  • Collaborate with C-suite executives and Board members to communicate progress, risk, and value realization of transformation efforts.
  • Build and mentor high-performing teams across transformation, analytics, AI/ML, and enterprise innovation functions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree strongly preferred.
  • 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in enterprise transformation, strategy, digital operations, or innovation roles.
  • Proven success leading large-scale transformation initiatives in a $500M+ organization, ideally within manufacturing, industrials, energy, or adjacent sectors.
  • Strong understanding of AI, data analytics, and automation technologies, with practical experience driving digital implementation strategies.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives with measurable business impact.
  • Deep expertise in change management, organizational design, and cultural transformation.
  • Executive presence with strong communication skills and a track record of influencing at the Board and CEO level.
