Job description

TRAICK AI is developing an AI-powered clinical decision support platform that enables early, accurate, and explainable diagnosis of thyroid and breast cancers from ultrasound images — without unnecessary biopsies. As our Chief Technology Officer (CTO), you will lead the company's technology vision, architecture, and engineering execution from prototype to global market launch.

You will oversee AI/ML development, medical imaging pipelines, and cloud infrastructure while ensuring compliance with CE and FDA regulations for medical devices. Working closely with the founding team, clinical experts, and investors, you will be responsible for building a world-class engineering team, delivering scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions that can transform healthcare diagnostics.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related field (PhD preferred).
  • 10+ years in software engineering or AI/ML development, with at least 3+ years in a senior leadership role (CTO, VP Engineering, or equivalent).
  • Proven track record in full software development lifecycle — from architecture design to deployment — across backend, frontend, AI and cloud infrastructure.
  • Strong proficiency in AI and backend development (Python, C sharp), frontend frameworks (React).
  • Experience in building scalable, secure, and high-performance applications, preferably in healthcare or other regulated industries.
  • Strong expertise in AI/ML (PyTorch/TensorFlow), MLOps, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
  • Familiarity with medical imaging standards (DICOM, PACS) and/or integration into healthcare IT systems (HL7, FHIR).
  • Solid understanding of database design (SQL/NoSQL), API architecture (REST/GraphQL), and microservices.
  • Experience with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, containerisation (Docker/Kubernetes), and observability tools.
  • Knowledge of regulatory frameworks: ISO 13485, GDPR, HIPAA
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced start-up environment

Benefits

  • Lead the technology vision of a mission-driven health-tech start-up with global impact.
  • Opportunity to shape a product that improves patient outcomes and supports early cancer detection.
  • Hybrid working model with flexible hours (Istanbul/London).
  • Competitive salary and equity/stock options package.
  • Work with a passionate, interdisciplinary team of AI engineers, clinicians, and innovators.
