Job summary

ActAI in the United Kingdom seeks a Chief Technology Officer to own technology strategy, architecture and engineering standards across the Group. This is a technical leadership role for someone who can operate across multiple businesses while remaining close to systems, architecture and engineering execution.

You will lead architecture across group products, review critical systems and drive reliability, security and performance.

Qualifications

• Deep software engineering background with experience building and scaling production systems.
• Strong knowledge of backend systems, APIs, databases, cloud infrastructure and distributed systems.
• Experience making architecture decisions across multiple products or engineering teams.
• Strong technical judgement and ability to challenge engineering decisions at implementation level.
• Capable of building world-class engineering teams.
• Still technically hands-on - able to review code, architecture, incidents and difficult engineering problems directly.
