Chief Technology Office Controls Director
The GCIO Chief Control Office (CCO) team plays an important role in enabling the bank to operate within its risk appetite by ensuring efficient and effective risk and control management. We do this by providing operational risk and control expertise, specialist technical knowledge, and a deep understanding of the businesses and functions we serve. Key activities include implementation and oversight of the Group's Risk Management Framework, ongoing and targeted controls assessments, implementing and maintaining robust risk governance, and championing a proactive risk culture. GCIO CCO works closely with partners across all lines of defence and is responsible for maintaining positive relationships with our regulators and external partners.
In this role, you will join a growing team to partner with the HSBC Chief Technology Office (CTO) to ensure delivery of risk-based, strategic outcomes globally. This includes informing and advising on relevant risk and control issues, initiatives, and updates that impact the Group. The purpose of the CCO function is to enable colleagues within HSBC GCIO to deliver safe and secure services to customers, colleagues, and the Bank itself.
You will be a leader within the GCIO Chief Control Office (GCIO CCO) that directly supports the CTO within HSBC. This is a senior, global role responsible for global CCO activity, supporting the CTO, and delivering robust risk management practices and control governance, ensuring CTO risk management is transparent and clear across all Global Business and Functions, regions, and entities.
