Job summary

Hyper Recruitment Solutions seeks a Chief Technologist – Synthetic Therapeutics to lead the development of peptides, oligonucleotides, and conjugation at the Glasgow facility, initially on a 20-month fixed-term contract with potential to become permanent.

You will act as the technical authority, shape technology strategy, translate insights into commercially viable plans, and build external partnerships across industry and academia to establish credibility in the UK market.

Qualifications

• Proven experience of strategic technical leadership and market awareness within synthetic therapeutics.
• Extensive industry experience in peptides and/or oligonucleotides.
• Proven ability to translate scientific expertise into commercially relevant capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Act as the technical expert in peptide and oligonucleotide chemistry, including synthesis, modification, and conjugation.
• Shape the technology strategy by identifying capability gaps and market trends.
• Translate technical insights into commercially viable propositions and deliverable plans.
• Build and influence an external network of stakeholders in industry and academia.
